THE NEWEST GEM ON THE CHICAGOLAND RUNNING SCENE

The Oak Brook Half-Marathon is the newest gem on the Chicagoland Running Scene. With a perfect, central metro-Chicago location, an outstanding course, well-staffed aid stations, amazing volunteer support, special commemorative finisher's medals, plus - awards 3-deep in standard CARA age groups, ChampionChip timing, and premium-quality long-sleeve tech running tops, this event will become a favorite on your racing schedule. Registration is limited to 2,500 - so don't miss out!

LOCATION

The Half-Marathon will start on Kensington Road at Jorie Blvd, and finish in Oak Brook's beautiful, wooded Central Park. Kensington Road is located between 22nd St. and 31st St./Oak Brook Road. With easy access from all major Chicagoland expressways, the race site is just minutes away from I-88, I-294, I-290 and Route 83. Parking will be available for race participants immediately north of the Starting Line, at the Ace Hardware corporate parking lot and at The Crossings office complex parking lot. (A $1.00 suggested donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities ® of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana will be requested at the entrance to the parking lots).

THE COURSE

The course is a strategic combination of city streets, forest preserve paths and bike trails, with rolling hills throughout. It begins on wide city streets before heading onto 3 miles of soft crushed limestone trail through Fullersburg Woods. After leaving Fullersburg Woods, at about the halfway point of the race, the course will merge onto the asphalt-surfaced Oak Brook Bike/Running Path System for the remainder of the Race. The Finish Line is located in Oak Brook’s Central Park.
